Weekend Sample, Part 1

Happy Monday!

As happy as I am to be back on the ship, I am still reminiscing about the adventures of this past weekend.

Sorry I was not able to post any updates as they happened, I was a bit occupied having some quality sister time. There was even wifi at the cabin, so I really had no excuse! Except that I chose to make margaritas from scratch. Then drink them. Then writing was out of the question after that.

Things have been pretty hectic, what with me driving back to Charleston all day Sunday, then jumping back into work today, and moving around between hotels. I haven’t even had time to properly sort through all of my photos yet.

I know, I know, I’m horrible.

But, I promise, here is a sampling of the photos I’ve got from my phone. I’ll share the rest in part 2!

On Friday we drove up to our rental cabin and spent the evening making drinks and chatting in the hot tub. Most of Saturday was spent walking off any remnants of hangovers with a five mile trail hike through the woods!

Waterfalls galore, each one just begged for a photo opportunity.

Some parts of the climb were more rugged than others. But you always had to make sure you didn’t get too distracted by the view!

The sun even made an appearance at one point.

If you listen carefully, you might hear the sound of trickling water.

By the end though, we were thoroughly warn out and and ready to return to the cabin. It took awhile to make it back, but when we finally did it was nap time in front of the fireplace.

I promise we didn’t burn the place down!

  1. Awesome…again! You’re a bold soul to attempt the margaritas from scratch, and a bold sole for walking them off the next morning!
